The Weight of Hate…

What bothers you and why?

For a four-letter word, “hate” carries a lot of weight and negativity. While you can dislike something, not like it at all, or simply ignore it, hating something takes a lot of energy. When you waste all that time and energy on hating something or someone, you lose control over yourself, your life, your meaning, and your routine.

For those who commit hateful acts, there’s a concept called Karma: what goes around comes around. I can testify to that. When my family explained Karma to me years ago, I thought I would never witness it firsthand; it didn’t seem fair. More importantly, I just wanted to escape the situation and move away from that part of my life. I’m not the type of person who gets a thrill from others’ suffering, but sure enough, due to how this person lived their life, they are now suffering. Karma took over two decades to manifest, but it eventually did. To this day, I genuinely have empathy for that individual.

The point here is that hate, when it weighs heavily on your heart, can build up and lead you to commit heinous acts or crimes, leaving you miserable in the end. Move forward, learn from what you went through, and pat yourself on the back for being strong. Know that you can make it through anything if you approach it with goodness.
