Gripes Galore: My Top Complaints & How I’m Fixing Them!

What do you complain about the most?

I’ve realized that complaining takes up a lot of energy—more than I’d like to admit. And honestly, it rarely makes the situation better. If anything, it just makes the day feel heavier and more stressful. That’s why I try to focus on positive thoughts rather than dwelling on what’s wrong. Life is too short to waste energy on negativity!

But let’s be real—when you have kids and share a space with others every single day, avoiding complaints can feel impossible. Messes pile up, dishes get left out, and somehow, trash never seems to make it into the trash can. And that, my friends, is where my patience starts to wear thin.

If there’s one thing I find myself complaining about the most, it’s cleanliness. I firmly believe that everyone should clean up after themselves 🧽. I’m not asking for perfection 🙃—just basic responsibility. If you make a mess, pick it up. If you drop trash, throw it away. It’s that simple! 💚 🚯 ♻️ 💯 ☑️

Now, I’ve learned that nagging doesn’t always work, so I’ve taken a new approach. If it’s left out for too long, it might just disappear—whether it’s a toy, schoolwork, or random clutter. Call it tough love, but I call it setting boundaries. I refuse to let laziness turn our home into a disaster zone.

At the end of the day, I know that complaining doesn’t solve everything, but standing my ground and setting expectations does. And while I’ll always aim to focus on the positive, I’ll also always advocate for a clean and happy home—one picked-up mess at a time!
