Oh my goodness… about time

You get some great, amazingly fantastic news. What’s the first thing you do?

Honestly?

My first thought would be, “Oh my Goodness… about time.”

Not screamed. Not celebrated.

More like a long, overdue exhale mixed with a quiet laugh at the universe.

I’d probably reread it a few times, because when you’ve been waiting this long, good news doesn’t feel exciting at first. It feels suspicious. Like, are we sure this is for me? Because I already adjusted to “nothing’s coming” and here comes “finally” acting brand new.

And the relief? It’s real. Heavy. Almost ridiculous.

The kind that comes from holding everything together while pretending you weren’t tired. While still showing up. While still saying “it’s fine” even when it wasn’t.

I wouldn’t jump up. I wouldn’t celebrate right away.

I’d sit there. Let it land. Let my shoulders drop. Let myself breathe without bracing for the next thing.

So yeah.

Oh my Goodness. About time.

Not because everything is fixed.

But because something finally moved.

And when you’ve been stuck for a long time, that’s the ultimate truth.
